All of our mentors have life experience either by being Care-Experienced, or neurodivergent. Rest assured that you will have a mentor who walked in your shoes and knows where you are coming from. We don't just say that we understand. We mean it!
At Shelton Minds, we provide dedicated mentoring support for looked after children, offering a safe space to navigate the challenges of growing up in care. Our mentors help them build confidence, develop skills, and foster resilience, empowering them to envision and work toward a brighter future.
Transitioning out of care can be daunting, which is why we mentor care leavers as they take their first steps into independence. From emotional support to practical advice on employment, education, and housing, our mentorship ensures they’re not alone in this pivotal stage of life.
For older care leavers or care-experienced individuals 25 years old and above, our tailored mentoring programs focus on personal growth, career advancement, and reconnecting with their aspirations. We understand the unique hurdles they face and offer support to help them thrive at any stage of adulthood.
Our mentoring for neurodivergent individuals is designed to celebrate and support their unique strengths. We address challenges such as navigating education, employment, and social relationships, while fostering self-acceptance and empowering them to achieve their goals.
